Our very first collaboration, featuring Kevin Kretch, owner of Eyes on Chagrin. While Eyes on Chagrin was established in 2012 in Cleveland, Ohio, Kevin Kretch has been working with is father in the eyewear business for much longer--something him and Erkers have in common. While both brands are known for their high-end opticals, we are also stocking price points affordable to all. We couldn't have asked for a better person to make our first collaboration with. We are excited to introduce you the Dawg Pound frames, named after the Cleveland Browns, something near and dear to Kevin.
"Cleveland is a very diverse and risilient city. I feel like all my adult life Cleveland has been digging itself out of an adversity hole and I truly believe it makes us strong as a community than most places. It makes overcoming adversity even sweeter. For example, I don't think any city has ever felt emotionally what Clevelanders felt when the Cavs won the 2016 championship after going 52 years without winning a championship in any sport."
The Dawg Pound is a bold, chunky acetate frame available in eight colors: Navy, Light Tort, Grey Crystal, Black Fade, Mossy Log. Spirament, Grey Green Crystal, and Matte Olive Tort.
You can find "1879" engraved on one end of the temples, signifying the year Erkers1879 was founded. Additionally, each frame features a turntable icon on the right temple tip. The turntable is meant to represent the origins of Kretch's business in Cleveland. Ohio, which is well known for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
